Assessment Services

At ARCTIC Health Centre, our addiction and mental health assessment process is personalized and comprehensive. It begins with an in-depth interview to understand your history, challenges, and goals, followed by psychometric testing and clinical evaluations to assess mental health conditions, substance use, and underlying psychological factors.

We evaluate a range of issues, including addictions and mental health disorders, using evidence-based tools to guide diagnosis and treatment planning. After the assessment, we provide a detailed report with findings and treatment recommendations, ensuring a collaborative, tailored approach to your care throughout your recovery.
Psychiatric Independent Medical Examination
(P-IME)
Our Psychiatric IME service offers an objective, independent assessment tailored to address the specific questions the referral source poses. The process includes a thorough review of relevant medical records, a standardized clinical interview, and psychometric testing. The resulting report comprehensively evaluates the client’s mental health status, including a precise psychiatric diagnosis, if requested, offering valuable insights for legal, insurance, or clinical purposes.

At ARCTIC Health Centre, we provide Independent Medical Examination (IME) assessments to offer objective evaluations of medical, psychological, or psychiatric conditions. Our highly qualified team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, conducts thorough assessments that involve reviewing medical history, clinical interviews, and necessary diagnostic tests.

These assessments help determine the impact of injuries or illnesses on daily functioning and the ability to return to work. After the evaluation, a detailed report with findings and recommendations is provided to assist in decision-making. Our commitment to confidentiality and professionalism ensures a thorough, unbiased process for all medical, legal, or workplace matters.
Psychiatric Assessment with Family Physician Consult
The Psychiatric assessment with family physician consult evaluates an individual’s psychological status, provides psychiatric treatment recommendations, and includes prescribing if needed. The process involves a comprehensive evaluation, a formal report, and a collaborative consultation with the family physician, ensuring integrated care and a coordinated approach to treatment for optimal patient outcomes.

Psychological Assessment
An independent psychological evaluation designed to address the specific questions the referral source poses. This service includes reviewing relevant medical information, a standardized interview, and comprehensive psychometric testing. The resulting report offers insights into the client’s mental health status, answers the referral source’s inquiries, and, when requested, provides a psychological diagnosis and recommended treatment options.
Addictions Assessment
A comprehensive evaluation of the client’s substance use, mental and physical health, and social circumstances. This thorough assessment aims to determine the severity of the addiction, identify any co-occurring mental health conditions, and provide a clear understanding of the factors influencing the individual’s well-being. The results guide the development of evidence-based treatment protocols tailored to the client’s specific needs.
